Favorite Amazon garden items

As an avid gardener, there are lots of tools and products that we use daily! Having good tools makes the hobby so much easier and rewarding. These items are great gifts too if you are looking for a Birthday, or holiday present for your gardening loved one.

Here are some of my favorite tools that I use on the daily!

1.) Dramm watering wand

This wand features an on/off switch that is easy to use. The wand is sturdy and does stand up to the elements. The shower that comes out of the nozzle is strong and has the perfect flow for watering all of your containers and inground plants.

We have gone through MANY garden wants and this truly is our favorite. It has truly help up through the test of time and heat. Show head does screw off if you find that it needs to be replaced, or if you need to get a faster flower to fill up a watering can.

2.) Felco 2 hand pruners

A good pair of hand pruners always comes in handy for the home gardener. They can be used to prune small branches and deadhead flowers. They are a great asset to any toolbox. Felcos are always my top choice, they are reliable and are made to last. If you are feeling ambitious, you can take apart your Felcos and clean / sharpen them to extend their lifespan. I do this with mine, and they are still going strong after 6 years.

I use the ‘Felco 2’ pruners around the garden, they are good versatile pruners that work great for the home gardener.

3.) Corona Garden Knife

Garden knifes are a versitile tool in the garden. They have a pointed edge and serrated side which makes them great for breaking up any heavy soil or garden roots. They are perfect for planting smaller plants in the garden, as well as trenching for any direct seeding.

These Corona’s have a bright ‘firetruck’ red handle that make them easy to find in the garden. The Knife also features a measuring tool to help indicate how deep you dig. perfect for bulbs, roots and seeds.

4.) Hose timer

Garden timers have been a lifeline for my garden every year, especially in the hot, summer months. Nothing is better than knowing your planters are hooked onto automated irrigation. These timers are easy to use, and require minimal.

If possible, cover timers with shade to extend their life expectancy. They easily attach to hose bibs.

5.) Peony Cages

Peony cages were traditionally made to support the heavy weight of the peony bloom in the garden. We, unfortunately, cannot grow Peonies here in the low desert of Arizona, but we can use the Peony cages on plenty of other blooms!

In our container garden we use the Peony cages for snapdragons, and Delphiniums in the spring to keep them nice and straight. They can easily hide in the landscape when the plants reach their maturity. In the summer months, we’ll use them for all of our Lisianthus. You can use them in the ground too, not just in containers.
